In partnership with the City of Lakewood and the Winterhurst Ice Rink, I created this vinyl "I Spy" mural, located on the wall facing the Warren Rd. 90W highway exit, marking the border of Lakewood and Cleveland. The design incorporates a woodcut hatching technique, with a central light source casting shadows that gradually grow deeper as they extend toward the edges. The concept centers on local tree and flower species, rendered in oversized proportions compared to the animals and birds, creating a whimsical atmosphere. At first glance, the scene appears to depict a typical woodland landscape, but a closer look reveals that the “bushes” are actually enormous leaves.
